The 2023 50th Annual Cherry Blossom Celebration

Overview

The Wooster Square Cherry Blossom Committee was delighted to host a special celebration in 2023 honoring the 50th Anniversary of the amazing cherry trees in Wooster Square Park. These trees helped anchor Wooster Square and the City of New Haven with a signature and historic landmark that was honored with a milestone anniversary this year.

Every year the cherry trees blossom at different times, but all stages are equally beautiful from the start of the buds to the “pink snow” as they fall away. The year the trees bloomed right at the celebration as a special anniversary treat.
